This is just a friendly reminder that ALL requests for assistance from Ben at Rocky Mountain Tech Team need to go through Amy and Amy will contact Ben.
I know that many of you have Ben's contact information due to resolving past issues with him, but I am begging you...please do not ever contact Ben directly to alert him of an issue. Once Amy contacts Ben on your behalf, he may call you directly or ask you to get directly back to him and that is fine, but the initial contact must be made through Amy.
You may be thinking to yourself that there is no reason to get Amy involved or to have Amy spend time contacting Ben if you can just do it yourself, especially if it's a minor issue. However, there are several reasons that we ask that all initial contact with Rocky Mountain Tech Team be made through Amy:
- We have an in-house person who can troubleshoot and may be able to solve your issue without contacting RMTT and incurring that cost. If you haven't met Grace yet, you should stop by and say hi - she's a very nice young lady and she may be able to solve your IT problem.
- You may not be the only one who needs assistance. By funneling all IT requests through Amy, she can coordinate everyone's needs. This may mean that your request is not something that has to be taken care of right away, so it goes on a list for the next time Ben is in the office. This may mean that several people need help, so we decide to get Ben on-site right away. Or, Amy may ask Ben to call you directly because your issue needs immediate attention. Either way, when we are aware of all of the IT needs, we can determine the most cost effective method of taking care of those needs. Coordination also ensures that Ben receives one phone call instead of 20 if there is a company-wide issue.
- When the bill arrives from Rocky Mountain Tech Team, we need to make sure that all of the charges are legitimate. If Amy has made all of the initial contact with Ben, it's very easy for her to look down the list of charges and say "Yep, I called them for all of those issues" but if you call Ben directly, we have to spend time verifying that they did the work they are charging us for.
I thank you in advance for your cooperation. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Jennifer
