If you have a CRHC Visa card, your credit limit is probably $2,000 (for some of you who travel more often, your limit may be $4,000). As you might imagine, it is very easy for you to reach your $2,000 limit (especially since there can be up to 60 days between the time you make a transaction and the time that transaction is paid off) and when you reach your limit, any additional transactions will be declined.
Since I am so nice and want to save you from being in that embarrassing situation where your card might be declined, I have come up with a solution (with Lou Ann's blessing, of course). My company card has a higher limit so that I can put some of your expenses on my credit card. Before you begin booking travel arrangements on your card, please stop to think about whether or not the transactions will put you close to your credit limit. If so, these types of transactions can go on my card:
- Conference Registrations
- Airline tickets
- Hotel that is prepaid on-line before you travel
Of course, there are some rules that go along with using my card:
- Prior to using my card, you need to check with your supervisor to ensure the expense is approved
- Once you know that you'd like to put something on my card, please let me know what it is, an estimated amount and when you plan on making the transaction
- When you are ready to make the transaction, please call me and I will bring my card to you for your use
- You must turn in the receipt to your supervisor on an expense form within one week. On the expense form, note that you used my card
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Jennifer
